I have always believed
that clothing can be far more than shape.
It changes not only how a person looks, but how they feel, how freely they move, how they meet the world — even how they think.
After studying design in Italy, I returned to Ukraine wanting to make clothing that answers real lives rather than passing trends. I was drawn to architectural cut, to Japanese pattern-making, to deconstruction — and to the idea that a single object can exist in many forms, changing along with the person wearing it.
I founded JULIYA KROS in 2015. After the SS2016 debut the label became a regular name at Ukrainian Fashion Week, and went on to show in Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt and Brussels.
From the beginning the question was never what the next collection would look like, but what fashion could become if it put the person, not the trend, at its center. That question is why transformation became the foundation of JULIYA KROS.
For me, transformation is not simply a piece that changes shape. It is design that adapts to a life. One garment can open several ways of wearing it, follow a person through different roles, and hold its place regardless of time, setting or occasion.
This is how the house found its own language: intelligent fashion, where architectural cut, deconstruction, function and timeless aesthetics work as one.
That research led naturally to adaptive design. I am convinced that clothing should adapt to the person, never the person to the clothing.
Alongside the collections I teach and mentor, working with young designers as they find a voice of their own.
